This map features the Taylor River in Colorado from it's headwaters to Alma, Colorado. Includes the East River from it's headwaters to Alma. The East River and Taylor River merge together in Alma to form the Gunnison River. It contains all public fishing access areas, picnic grounds, public restrooms, campgrounds, boat put in locations, parking areas, Forest Service Public Lands and BLM Public Lands. Also included are insect hatch chart and float charts.

On the Taylor if you are seeking some of the largest brook trout to be had in the state, definitely start at the headwaters above the reservoir and the canyon and try your luck in the beaver ponds and feeder creeks from the numerous freshwater springs in the area. On the East River it's a designated Wild Trout section. Wild Trout water runs from the bridge by Roaring Judy Fish Hatchery for roughly one mile.
