This map covers 45 river miles of the Taylor from its headwaters down to the confluence of the Gunnison and East Rivers. It also covers nearly 40 river miles of the East River from its headwaters to its end. This map contains all public fishing access areas, campgrounds, boat put in locations, parking areas and BLM Public Land areas. Also included are insect hatch chart and float charts.
On the Taylor if you are seeking some of the largest brook trout to be had in the state, definitely start at the headwaters above the reservoir and the canyon and try your luck in the beaver ponds and feeder creeks from the numerous freshwater springs in the area.
On the East River is a designated Wild Trout section. Wild Trout water runs from the bridge by Roaring Judy Fish Hatchery for roughly one mile.
